Cape Point and Peninsula Tour

Cape Town

Activity Description

Where do the two oceans meet? And why is it called “the Cape of Good Hope”? Join us on a journey of discovery as we explore the splendour of the Cape Peninsula in Cape Town. We follow the Atlantic Seaboard, past Clifton & Camps Bay, to the fishing hamlet of Hout Bay for an optional boat cruise to Duiker Island to experience thousands of Cape Fur Seals in their natural habitat (own account). We continue along the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive to Simon’s Town to meet up with a colony of rare Jackass Penguins at Boulders Beach (From 1 November entrance for own account). You would’ve noticed the bicycles behind the bus by now! we swap four wheels for two to get some fresh air into our lungs and to build up a healthy appetite.

Our legendary scrumptious picnic lunch will then be served somewhere in the reserve… maybe at one of the stunning beaches! Are you brave enough to challenge the Atlantic?
After lunch we hike to the top lighthouse at Cape Point and then to the Cape of Good Hope. Both hikes offer breathtaking vistas and REAL fresh air! We return home via Scarborough and Kommetjie.

Customer Reviews

Awesome day! Great way to fit in as many things as possible whilst in Cape Town - Danelle Cox

Excellent and informative! - Peter Ruis

It was an absolute fantastic daytrip. Shelley was very informative and friendly. Cape Town is beautiful. As a born Capetonian I realize there's still so much for me to explore in Cape Town. I truly enjoyed the opportunity of spending the day with tourists from USA, Germany and West Africa and learning a bit more about their culture. The biking and hiking was the best part of the day for me and the lunch served really exceeded my expectations. Thanks for a life changing experience. This was really money well spent. - Bernadette Wagner

This tour was one of the most interesting and fun days of our whole trip. It was well balanced with activity and sight seeing. I especially enjoyed the biking and hiking which was not arduous, just fun. Those that did not want to participate in the hiking or biking had other options. The lunch was quite a gourmet treat. - Edwin Mariash

I totally enjoyed my day. Our tour guide, Bill was so friendly, funny and helpful. He made all the group relaxed and we all learn so much about the history. I would recommend Day Trippers to all travellers visiting South Africa. - Alexis McGhie
